Pod Casts

Pod Casts can be fun and show to educate others of what the library is doing. I would like to do one showing our back pack program and get more familiar what these awesome creations can do.
There are a lot of Pod Casts out there. Some that would be of interest to me - may be health and exercise. We all need motivation for something and that would be mine.

well I am scattering thing around here like tumbleweeds

Flickr Again

I accidently made another blog (I made and now its somehow connected to this blog) and placed my pic on that. This IT can get frustrating at times.

Flickr

Flickr is okay to show what fun things are happening at the library. But I am not sure that the world needs to know what everyone looks like. The sample pictures that the library had on the place that we visited in the lesson, did a good job of not showing the children's faces, but rather the activity that they are engaged in. Personal photos of people are not something that I would feel comfortable placing on the web. Photo of places can be educational and used to an advantage. There has to be a safety measure and etiquette of pictures.

RSS and Newsreaders

Cool - to have all things at one spot.

Scary - still learning what I want on the page and how to do it! Frustrating - my lack of creativity in technology hits this number -0

Give me a paint and construction paper and I can decorate like crazy or do PR. But this is really the curve ball. Setting up a Wiki was cake.

This opportunity provides resources at one site so the other librarian can see what I'm doing and we can connect when time is not available.

I'm still learning and exploring before I can answer what is best or easiest to navigate.

Twitter

This sounds like a posted chat. I suppose twitter could be used to talk about books that people are reading or share time with a class about a book that each youth is reading and they can post their reflections about the book.

7 1/2 habits

Having a good tool box is a great habit to have - remembering my list of tools and resources that I can use to help me.

The hardest habit - is trying something new (go outside your box)- like using new technology, it's scary but when you take it step by step you can do it!

What do you think of this summer's reading program title?

Remember that the 2009 Summer Reading Program is "Be Creative" with music, drama, dance, and art! I thought that it's great and fun! So many ideas!!!!
